A young Nigerian lady identified as Akanbi Kemi, who graduated from Lagos State Polytechnic has been accepted into two US Universities for her doctorate degree despite not having master’s degree.
The brilliant lady, Kemi shared her amazing academic story on LinkedIn, saying she did not go through master’s or any top-up course before she got admitted for the Ph.D. In Information Technology at the University Of Cincinnati.
Sharing her amazing academic story on LinkedIn, Kemi wrote: ” I am happy to share that I joined university of Cincinnati as a Ph.D. student in Information technology.
“The journey started June 2021 although stressful,I got the desired result. If you are interested in schooling abroad,do not limit yourself or self-reject. I am private person, the aim of this writeup is to give honour to whom it’s due and encourage Polytechnic graduates that we can fly as high as we want,the limitation is just in the mind.
“I graduated from Lagos state Polytechnic ,worked in the IT space for some years then proceeded to apply for grad school in the US #without any top up or Masters. I got admitted to:
1) North Dakota State University for Computer science.(M.S)
2) University of Cincinnati for Information Technology(Ph.D)
