Nigerian Popular singer Rema seems to have become a precious student between two Nigerian universities, that are willing to fight over him.
The Mavin artiste singer, who got admission into UNILAG last year, had stirred reactions over the weekend after he lamented about the industrial strike action in public universities in the country.
Replying to him, Bowen University, a private university in Osun State, invited Rema to apply for their school instead, boasting that they aren’t affected by the ASUU strike.
UNILAG in a swift response appealed to Rema not to listen to other universities especially Private Universities because of the ongoing ASUU strike.
“Hmm… Rema dear, UNILAG has chosen you o, Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o… Rema no dey vex for us o,” UNILAG tweet reads.
Rema, blushing in a tweet, jokingly said he will go to the school if the strike isn’t called off soon, adding that so many students are tired of staying at home.
His tweet reads: “Awww Unilag end the strike or I will go ooo, we want to go back to school pls the youths are not happy.”
Some of the reactions are captured below:
