GSU Academic Calendar 2023 Is Out [UPDATED]

Gombe State University, GSU Academic Calendar for 2022/2023 Session is Out. This is for both undergraduate and Postgraduate.

This is to inform the general public especially the undergraduate students of the Gombe State University that the university management has approved and published an academic calendar for the Second Semester 2022/2023 session.

NB: All public holidays shall be observed as announced.

GSU Academic Calendar 2021/2022 Session

First Semester

• Tue. 13th Sat. 24th June, 2023 > 2 weeks registration exercise
• Mon. 19th June-Sat. 5th August, 2023 > 7 weeks lectures
• Mon. 7th August – Sat. 26th August, 2023 > 3 weeks mid semester break
• Mon., 28th August – Sat. 7th October, 2023 > 6 weeks lectures
• Mon. 9th Sat. 28th October, 2023 > 3 weeks examinations
• Mon. 30th October – Sat. 4th Nov, 2023 > 1 week end of semester break

Second Semester

• Sun. 5th November, 2023 > Students’ resumption on campus
• Mon. 6th Nov.- Sat. 23rd Dec. 2023 > 7 weeks lectures
• Mon. 25th Dec. 2023 – Sat. 6th Jan. 2024 > 2 weeks mid semester break
• Mon. 8th Jan. Sat. 17th Feb. 2024 > 6 weeks lectures
• Mon. 19th Feb. Sat. 9th March. 2024 > 3 weeks examinations
• Mon. 19th Feb. – Sat. 23rd March, 2024 > 5 weeks for marking/compilation
• Mon. 25th-Sat. 30th March, 2024 > Faculty/Departmental Boards
• Mon. 1st – Sat. 6th April, 2024 > SBC/Senate meetings
• Mon. 8th Sat. 27th April, 2024 > 3 weeks break/leave

GSU Postgraduate Academic Calendar

This is to inform Postgraduate Students of Gombe State University(GOMSU) that the management has released the revised Postgraduate Academic Calendar for 2021/2022 session.

According to the Academic Calendar lectures will commence from 31st October, 2022 till 23rd December, 2022. The dull details can be seen in the attached calendar

FIRST SEMESTER

• Monday 31st October – Friday 23rd December, 2022 > 8 Weeks Lectures
• Monday 26 December- Saturday 31 December, 2022 > 1 Week Of Mid Semester Break
• Tuesday 3rd January-Saturday 18 February, 2023 > 7 Weeks Of Lectures
• Monday 20 February-Saturday 4 March, 2023 > 2 weeks Of Examination
• Monday 6th March-Saturday 18″ of March, 2023 > 2 Weeks Of First Semester Breaks

SECOND SEMESTER (Postgraduates)

• Monday 8th May- Saturday 24th June 2023 > 7 Weeks of Lectures
• Saturday 26th June- Saturday 1st July 2023 > 1 Week Break
• Monday 3rd July-Saturday 19th August 2023 > 7 Weeks of Lectures
• Monday 21st August-Saturday 2nd September, 2023 > 2 Weeks of Examination
• Monday 4th Sept – Saturday 23 September, 2023 > 3 Weeks Second Semester Break for Marking, Compilation of Results, PG Board and Senate Meetings. 
• Monday 16th October, 2023 > Commencement of 2023/2024 academic session.
