The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun has rewarded Miss Joy Oyinlola Adesina, the best graduate from the Ile Ife School of Clinical Sciences at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), with a house and a sum of 5m and a scholarship.
Abiodun announced the award at a reception held for Miss Adesina on Wednesday, noting that the medical scholarship will be used for her residency at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu.

The governor pointed out that being the winner of the best medical graduate of the OAU is “an achievement, a rare feat that most of my peers dream of.
” Miss Adesina won 10 outstanding results and 9 top awards in the final exam.” Abiodun observed
“Her achievements are supported by the outstanding performance of some of our young indigenous people, who have recently performed well in various academic pursuits and won us under a program called Ogun Academic Laureates.” The Gov adds.
Abiodun pointed out that with the Ogun Academic Award Winner, his government hopes to rekindle its passion for academic excellence and innovation, especially for successors.
He reiterated that his government will continue to commend and recognize outstanding natives or residents of Ogun State, who have achieved outstanding academic achievements through hard work and are considered worthy of character and innovation.
Abiodun revealed that Ogun Academic Laureates has received promised scholarships, cash awards, and full housing awards, and emphasized that “we do this not only because it is right and honorable to make promises, but also because we are trustworthy management.
