In JAMB, what is the meaning of Special Consideration (Waiver)??

It means, additional requirement for a particular course in a particular school. If your school have a special consideration for either O’level Requirement, UTME Subject Combination or Direct Entry Requirement, then please take note of it.

Note sometimes in special consideration column, the school requirement might be slight different from the general requirement. We advice you know your desired school’s special consideration for your course. ITS NECESSARY else you might be denied admission.

JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS

English Language(*), Mathematics, Physics and Biology or Agricultural Science or Chemistry or Geography

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • BENIN accepts Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
  • PHC requires Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics,Chemistry and Economics 

O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Below is the O’level Requirement for Pure & Applied Mathematics (UTME CANDIDATES)

Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science or Geography.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • BENIN accepts Economics as the fifth (5th)subject.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS

  • Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other Science subject.
  • NCE merit/HND/ND upper credit in Mathematics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • LAUTECH accepts ND upper credit, HND lower credit, NCE credit in relevant programmes into 200 level or ‘A’ Level passes  in Mathematics , Physics,, Chemistry or Biology
  • COOU requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics, Economics or Chemistry and accepts NCE.
  • PHC accepts PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Mathematics and any one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology including UTME entry requirements.
  • BENIN:  in addition to the UTME requirements, accepts
    (a) ND upper credit/ HND lower credit in Mathematics / Statistics or Science Laboratory Technology
    (b) NCE  merit with ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Physics.
  • PAUL accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Pure and Applied Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Statistics or its equivalent.

I scored jamb 224 and aptitude test 25 to study mathematics when I divided every thing I have 53 meanwhile the cut off point is 33.05 but when i check my admission status i saw ( not admitted ) though i have chemistry D7 in my ssce.pls i need responses.
