What the above implies is, UNN might offer the course in Faculty of Administration while UNILAG will offer the same course in Faculty of Administration.

  1. Five SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects.
  2. For NBC holders, the other two relevant subjects could be from any of Accounting, Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.

  • ABSU and DELSU accept holders of the following qualifications:
    a) Complete pass in the Intermediate ICAN Examination or equivalents; and
    b) Pass in final exams of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries (except UYO and DELSU) plus UTME requirements.
  • ABUJA (UNIABUJA) accepts ‘A’ Level pass in Geology.
  • ADSU, UNIZIK, ABSU, MADONNA and COOU accept ND/NCE in the relevant fields.  UNIZIK and ABSU also accept HND. UNIZIK and COOU accept ND/HND lower credit pass.
  • AUN same as in Finance
  • BSU accepts ND/NCE lower credit/merit plus five (5) ‘O’ Level subjects requirements to include Economics at one (1) sitting.
  • COOU accepts ND/HND lower credit or equivalent in relevant programmes.

    a) NCE/ND with passes at Merit/Credit level in relevant programmes.
    b) AAT, Intermediate ACCA or ICAN or ATS final certificate provided such candidate possesses ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Economics and Mathematics.
  • (ix) EKSU, DELSU and UYO accept ND/HND in relevant programmes not below upper credit level.  (CALABAR (UNICAL) accepts HND at lower credit level plus UTME requirements. In addition, EKSU insists on ‘A’ level passes in Economics but does not accept IJMB.
  • ESUTECH accepts ND in relevant programmes within the Faculty into 200 Level in addition to the UTME requirements.
  • EVANGEL requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Economics or ND/NCE in addition to the UTME requirements.
  • FED-DUTSINMA (FUDMA) accepts Two ‘A‘ level passes in Economics/Financial Accounting and Mathematics or any of Social/Management Sciences subject. ND/NCE with good grades in Accounting or any related courses from a recognized institution.
  • IGBINEDION accepts ND at credit level in related programmes.
  • IMSU and PHC – No Direct Entry.
  • JOS accepts
    a) passes at IJMB in at least two (2) subjects one (1) of which must be in Accounting, Economics or Business Management.
    b) ND upper credit in Financial studies.
  • LAGOS (UNILAG) accepts very good passes in three (3) JUPEB subjects: Economics and any two (2) of Financial Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
  • MCPHERSON accepts NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subjects, foundation of professional examinations such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA or ND upper credit in relevant programmes.
  • NASARAWA (NSUK) accepts ND/HND lower credit in relevant programmes; IJMB in relevant subjects not below ten (10) points; NCE credit/merit in Business Education.
  • OAU accepts
    a) ND upper credit in Accounting, also ICAN/ACCA examination at professional level or ATS (Stage III) examination of ICAN
    b) Advanced Level passes in Economics, Accounting, Business Management, plus Government and Geography or ICAN/ATS I, II and III.
  • PLASU accepts
    a) degree in any programme provided the candidate meets the ‘O’ Level requirements
    b) HND lower credit in relevant programmes with ‘O’ Level requirements.
    c) ND lower credit in relevant programmes with ‘O’ Level requirements.
    d) IJMB minimum of 7 points with passes in relevant subjects, with ‘O’ Level requirements.
    e) PLASU does not accept University Diplomas and other Diplomas not accredited by the relevant accrediting bodies.
  • RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
    (a) OND/ND (Upper Credit) relevant to the  discipline.
    (b) HND (Lower Credit) relevant to the programme.
    (c) Degree (Third Class) relevant to the programme.
    (d) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes at GCE preferably in the Arts and Social Sciences.
  • UDU accepts
    • ‘O’ Level credit in Accounts In lieu of Economics

  • UNIZIK does not accept Government or Geography.  All Direct Entry candidates must satisfy the UTME requirements.

OND (upper credit) or HND (Merit Pass) in either of Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Management from a recognized institution including UTME entry requirements.
  • WELSPRING accepts IJMB, NABTEB ‘A’ Level, NCE, ND, HND, at merit/lower credit from recognised institutions, as well as foundation/intermediate passes at ICAN, ACCA and ICMA.
  • AAUA requires:

  • MOUNTAIN TOP For Business Administration requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and Economics.  Candidates must also pass the screening interview conducted by the University.

    • UNILORIN Diploma in Accounting and Data Processing   with Upper Credit pass.
    • HND with minimum of Lower Credit pass.
    • ND in Accountancy with Upper Credit or ND with Lower Credit with ICAN (ATS)
    • ICAN (ACA).
    • For Business Administration accepts ND upper credit in Business Studies/Business Management.
    • For Finance requires‘A’ Level passes not less than grade ‘C’ including Accounting and one(1) of Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics, Geography and Government, at least twelve (12) Points.   • BINGHAM, AJAYI and AAU require ‘A’ Level  pass in Accounts, accept ND in Accounting, Banking and Finance or Business Management. For Business Administration, AJAYI accepts ‘A’ Level or equivalents in Economics and one(1) of Business Management, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography and Government plus ‘O’ Levelcredit passes in English Language and Mathematics
  • CUAB requires
    (a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes to include Mathematics and either Economics or Account.
    (b)  IJMB at acceptable grades.
    (c)   NCE credit, ND lower credit, and approved equivalent of may be admitted to the appropriate level.
  • JOS (UNIJOS) accepts
    • two (2) Principal and one(1) subsidiary passes in any of the following subjects: Principles of Accounts, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Government and Commerce. In addition to the IJMB/’A’ Level, candidates should have credit passes in three (3) UTME subjects as per ‘O’ Level requirements other than the ones obtained at IJMB/’A’ Level.
    • i. Candidates must have completed from a recognised institution with a minimum of lower credit in any of the following programmes of studies: Business Administration, Accounting, Accounting/Auditing, banking, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply, Actuarial Science/Insurance, Secretarial Administration, Office Management, Psychology, Public Business Studies, Administration, Catering and Hotel Management and Statistics, Financial Studies.

  • UNIOSUN accepts
    • For Accounting:
      ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one(1) of the following subjects: Geography, Government and Accounting in addition to the UTME requirements. ND lower credit and approved equivalent in relevant programmesmay be considered. ICAN ATS Final level and Foundation pass of recognised professional bodies i.e. ICAN, ACCA (London), CIMA (UK), CIBN, CITN and other members of IFAC may be considered.
    • For  Business Administration:
      ‘A’ Level passes in two (2) of the following subjects: Economics, Geography, Business Studies, Government, Accounting and Book-Keeping, in addition to the UTME requirements. ND lower credit and approved equivalents in relevant programmes may be considered.
  • CALABAR accepts
    a. For Accounting:
    (i). CALABAR DBA, ND upper credit in relevant programmes; HND lower credit in relevant programme
    (ii). does not accept IJMB or ‘A’ Level paper or NCE for Direct Entry.
  • b. For Marketing:
    (i)   Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics or Mathematics, Government and Geography. ND in Business Administration.
    (ii) Does not accept IJMB and NCE
  • For Business Management:
    (i) ND credit in any Management programme including Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Management, Marketing and Computer science.
    (ii) ‘A’ Level passes in any three (3) of Accounting, Business Management, Economic and Mathematics plus ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Commerce or Economics.
  • BENIN (UNIBEN) accepts
    a. For Insurance and Actuarial Science:
    Applicant should possess five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or equivalent, two (2) of which shall be at the ‘A’ Level or ‘O’ Level credit passes at least three (3) of which shall be at the ‘A’ Level provided that subjects are not counted at both levels of the examination.  Credit passes at the ‘O’ Level must include English Language and Mathematics.
    ii. ND upper credit in relevant programme in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes.
    iii. HND lower credit in relevant programmes in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes.
    iii. Final Certificate of relevant Professional Bodies in addition to five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes.
    b. For Marketing:
    i. UTME requirements plus two (2) subjects passed at the ‘A’ Level, one(1) of which should be Accounting and the other either Economics or Business Management.
    ii. In Exceptional cases the following qualifications may also be considered:
    a. UTME requirements plus a complete pass in the intermediate examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or of any other equivalent Professional Accounting bodiesor

  • CALABAR (UNICAL) accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes, including English Language and Government, a pass in Mathematics, plus two (2) ‘A’ Level subjects in the Social Sciences with a minimum of C.
  • KWASU accepts
    a. For Accounting IJMB, Cambridge ONLY, ND upper credit in Accounting, HND Accounting (Lower Credit)
    b. For Business Administration IJMB, Cambridge ONLY, ND upper credit in Business Administration, HND lower credit in Business Administration.
  • PAUL accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
  • BELLS accepts two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in any two (2) of Chemistry, Economics, Geography and Mathematics.
  • EBSU accepts for Public Administration candidates with NCE, ND or HND, the candidates are expected to possess the relevant UTME requirements
  • CRAWFORD accepts
    a. For Marketing:
    i. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics or anyone of Business Management, Geography, Accounting Government, Mathematics or Statistics.
    ii. NCE – With passes in Accounting, Business Studies or any Social Science
    iii. ND/HND in relevant subjects not lower than Lower Credit.
    b. For Accountancy:
    i. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Economics plus anyone of Accounting, Government, Commerce, and Business Management.
    ii. NCE pass in Accounting, Business Studies or any Social Science

    c. For Business Administration:

    b. For Business Administration:
    i. Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and one other Social Science subject.
    ii. ND in Accounting, Banking and Finance,Business Administration, Marketing or Insurance, NCE in Business Studies.
  • AUE:
    a. For Accounting accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Economics or Business Management and one other subject, or ND/NCE upper credit in Accounting, Business Management Studies from an approved Polytechnics, College of Technology or College of Education.
    b. For Business Administration accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Economics or Business Management and one other subject or ND upper credit in Business Administration from recognised Polytechnics.
  • SALEM requires ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and any other relevant subjects.
  • DELSU accepts
    a) GCE ‘A’ Level or HSC passes in Accounting or Economics and at least one other subject.
    b) ND obtained from approved     polytechnics or colleges of technology in Accounting with a grade not lower than Upper Credit.
    c) Foundation/Intermediate Exam. Passes      of recognized professional bodies as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, ANAN, ACIB, provided the candidates have  credits at WAEC, SSCE or GCE O/L in five subjects to include English Language, Mathematics and Economics.
    For Business Administration, DELSU requires
    a) National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in a relevant discipline obtained from an approved and reputable institutions of Higher Learning. Essentially, OND in Comprehensive    Business Administration would be given preferences.
    b) GCE A/L or HSC in at least two subjects    of which one must either be Mathematics    or Economics.
  • RHEMA accepts ND/HND in Accounting plus the UTME requirements.
  • GOUU accepts
  • For Accounting, B.Sc., BA or HND in other programme, ND upper credit in Accounting, Foundation of ICAN.
  • b. For Business Administration, two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.                                                                                                         BSc, BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Business Administration.
    c. For Marketing, two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
    BSc, BA or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Marketing.
    d. For Public Administration: BA, BSc or HND in other programmes, ND upper credit in Public or Business Administration.
  • UMYUK requires minimum of nine (9) points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE in Economics, Mathematics and any of Social and Management Science subjects. Candidates with ND lower credit in relevant programmes from recognised institutions may also be admitted.
    For Public Administration, UMYUK accepts a minimum of 9 points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE in relevant subjects. Candidates with a minimum of lower credit pass in National Diploma/HND in Public Administration or its equivalent in Management Science subjects from recognized institutions may also be admitted.
  • RENAISSANCE accepts ND credit from a recognised institutions in related programmes like Accountancy, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Marketing plus the UTME requirements.
  • CALEB:
    a. For Business Administration accepts ND credit level in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies or Social Sciences related studies may be considered for admission by Direct Entry provided they have the UTME requirementsat one sitting.
    b. For Accounting accepts ND credit in Accounting, Banking, Financial Studies or Social Sciences, related studies may be considered for admission by direct entry provided they have the UTME requirements at one sitting.
  • NDU requires
    i. Candidates must possess two (2) ‘A’ Level passes which must include Economics or:
    ii. ND upper credit in a related programme.
    iii. Candidates must satisfy the normal UTME requirements.
  • NILE accepts any two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Arts or Social Science subjects, ND/HND lower credit or NCE merit in relevant programmes.
