Very Important! If you didn’t meet the JAMB Subject Combination and Direct Entry and O’level requirement for English & International; note their are chances that your school (University) have a special consideration (WAIVER) for you.

In JAMB, what is the meaning of Special Consideration (Waiver)??

It means, additional requirement for a particular course in a particular school. If your school have a special consideration for candidates and you didn’t meet the requirement, then you will be denied admission for wrong requirement. But if you meet the requirement in the Special consideration column, you will not be denied admission.

Note sometimes in special consideration column, the school requirement might be slight different from the general requirement. We advice you know your desired school’s special consideration for your course.

JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR ENGLISH AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Below is the UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION for English & International Studies.

• English Language(*), Literature-in-English,Government or History or any other Arts subjects.

UTME REQUIREMENT FOR ENGLISH & INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Below is the UTME Requirement for English & International Studies

• Five (5)SSC credit passes to include English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three (3) Arts/Social Science subjects.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR ENGLISH & INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Below is the Direct Entry (DE) Requirement for English & International Studies.

• Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and Government or History or NCE in English/Political Science/History Social Studies.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) ENGLISH & INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

For Direct Entry Candidates, UNIOSUN accepts

• (i) UNIOSUN accepts: a) ‘A’ Level passes in Literature in English and one other Arts subject in addition to the UTME requirements. b) Candidates with ND lower credit or NCE merit or approved equivalent in Mass Communication or Theatre Arts.
