It means, additional requirement for a particular course in a particular school. If your school have a special consideration for either O’level Requirement, UTME Subject Combination or Direct Entry Requirement, then please take note of it.

Note sometimes in special consideration column, the school requirement might be slight different from the general requirement. We advice you know your desired school’s special consideration for your course. ITS NECESSARY else you might be denied admission.

UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR MARINE ENGINEERING

Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for Marine Engineering in faculty of Engineering/Environment/Technology;

  • English Language(*), Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION(WAIVER)

  • MARITIME-UNI requires Mathematics, Economics and one other Social Science subject for Marine Economics and Finance.

UTME REQUIREMENT FOR MARINE ENGINEERING

Below is the UTME Requirement for Marine Engineering in faculty of Engineering/Environment/Technology;

  • Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Language and one Science subject.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION(WAIVER)

  • NDU – Same as in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.
  • RSUST accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include  English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or Further Mathematics and any other subject
  • MARITIME-UNI requires five (5) credits at SSCE or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science/Further Mathematics/Data Processing/Technical Drawing for Marine Engineering.
  • For Marine Economics and Finance MARITIME-UNI requires five (5) credits at SSCE or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two (2) other Social Science subjects

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR MARINE ENGINEERING

Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Marine Engineering in faculty of Engineering/Environment/Technology;

  • A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics.
  • ND/HND upper credit at appropriate levels.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • NDU – Same as in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.
  • RSUST in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements accepts:
    (a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline.
    (b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant disciplines.
    (c) At least three (3) ‘A’ level passes at GCE in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • FUPRE requires ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

I have D7 in chemistry …can i still register for marine engineering…..???

In my jamb combination was English,biology, chemistry, and physics, I didn’t write maths in jamb and I had 168 but in my olevel I wrote further maths.
Can I write the post utme for the Marian engineering with both d scores and d subject combination ??
