” When I went to ABU, I never thought graduating with first class from the department of Business Education will be possible,” he said.

According to him, he thought so because of the discouraging words from lecturers and students who told him that it had been 40 years since the department produced a first class graduate.

Isah told ALLSCHOOL that he had gone through a lot in his journey, academically and otherwise.

He revealed that reading was not the only strategy he used, he had prayed too and choose his friends wisely.

” After passing through a different great deal of hardship and academic challenges intensive reading was not the only weapon I depend on but prayers too and selecting the right friends to mingle with” he said.

The ABU graduate, also stated that the care and support offered by his mother Maryam Isah and his brother Tijjani Usman after the death of his father Usman Sabo Gamji, is one of the main reasons why he bagged a first class.

He said:

“Actually, it is not an easy task to overcome such a series of academic challenges as I have done. However, I owe all my success and accomplishment to the almighty God.

“Who has given me the strength to overcome my academic challenges.“Who has given me the courage to stand during my weaknesses.

“Who awarded me with caring for and helping people that carry me along the way.

“Finally, Who blessed me with a family full of caring and support.

“My family is my everything, I owe them a lot”.
