Cursory: A University of Ibadan student described how she obtained her school ID card three years after being admitted. The young lady claimed she received acceptance to pursue her master’s degree at UI in 2020 and that she will soon be defending her thesis. Similar experiences in various universities across Nigeria were shared on Twitter by many Nigerians.
Three years after being accepted into one of the best colleges in the nation, a Nigerian woman who is a master’s student reported that she had just received her ID card.
The University of Ibadan received her application for admission to pursue a master’s degree in 2019, according to Twitter user @themotunglobal.
The lady finally gained admission and is about to graduate. She never did, however, get her student ID card. The deadline for her thesis defense was just one month away when she finally received it.
This means over three years had passed before she was issued the ID, and some people have said it is of no use.
The lady wrote on Twitter: “I applied for my masters degree 2019 and started the processing 2020. I’m glad to inform you that I was just given my Student I.D card in 2023 when my thesis defense is next month.”
