This is to inform all candidates who have chosen Yasuf Maitama Sule University, Kano as First Choice in the 2023 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) application for admission through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to register online for the Screening Exercise via the University website (www.yumsuk.edu.ng) has been extended from Sunday 27th August, 2023 to Wednesday 6th September, 2023.

Candidates Eligible to Apply for NWU Post UTME Form
UTME Candidates
- Candidates must have chosen the Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano as FIRST choice.
- Must have obtained a minimum of 5 Credit Passes including English Language and Mathematics in SSCE (or Equivalent) at not more than two sittings.
- Must have scored a minimum of 170-235 depending on the course they apply for. See the NWU Cut-off mark below.
- Candidates awaiting their O’level result can apply but must choose AR as their grade when registering for the post utme.
- Must posses 2023 UTME Result

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must have applied for Direct Entry (DE), through JAMB.
- Must have obtained a minimum of 5 Credit Passes including English Language and Mathematics in SSCE (or Equivalent) at not more than two sittings.
- Must have obtained the National Diploma (ND), IJMB, NCE (or equivalent) certificate or statement of result.
- Candidates with ND must have minimum CGPA of 3.0 for Science based programmes and 3.5 for Arts based programmes respectively.
- Candidates with N.C.E. must have minimum of 9 points for relevant programmes in the Faculty of Education.
- Candidates with IJMB must have minimum of 7 points for Sciences and 8 points for Arts based programmes respectively.
NWU Screening Exam
POST UTME SCREENING TEST
- DATE: WEDNESDAY 13TH TO THURSDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER, 2023 (2 DAYS)
- TIME: 8:00 AM DAILY
- VENUE: YUSUF MAITAMA SULE UNIVERSITY, MAIN CAMPUS, KOFAR KABUGA-KOFAR RUWA ROAD, KANO.
DIRECT ENTRY (D.E.) SCREENING
- DATE: Friday 15TH TO Saturday 16TH SEPTEMBER 2023 (3 DAYS) TIME: 8:00 AM
- VENUE: RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTS IN THE UNIVERSITY’S CAMPUSES
Candidates will be requested to come with the following documents for the screening:
- Photocopies and original copies of their credentials (come with any document you think will be helpful, don’t leave anyone)
- Online registration acknowledgment slip for the screening exercise.
How to Apply for NWU Post UTME Form.
The official cost for the Yusuf Maitama Sule University post utme form is Two Thousand Naira Only (N2,000).
- visit the University WEBSITE (www.nwu.edu.ng) and click on 2023 ADMISSION PORTAL.
- Click on the Post-UTME or Direct Entry Screening Link to register.
- Generate REMITA payment Invoice from the portal and proceed to any Bank nationwide to pay for the NWU Post UTME Form.
- Return to the Portal to complete the registration and print your Acknowledgement Slip. to be presented together with other credentials during the Aptitude Test or the D.E. Screening.
Some other Important Things to Know?
- While going for the NWU screening exercise, go with Acknowledgement slip and credentials.
- Mode of Screening for NWU will be communicated later.
- Only candidates who have registered for the Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano 2023/2024 Admission Screening are eligible for the POST UTME screening that will be conducted.
