Cursory: Nigerian students Esemitodje Oghenerukevwe Patrick and Uwakfon Nyon Jacob represented Nigeria among 54 African countries, and won gold at the Pan African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) and International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia also won gold at the competition. The Managing Director of Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Mr. Feyzullah Bilgin, congratulated the National Mathematical Centre (NMC) and the students for their exceptional achievements, highlighting their dedication, talent, and pursuit of excellence in mathematics. Two Nigerian students, Esemitodje Oghenerukevwe Patrick and Uwakfon Nyon Jacob, have achieved remarkable success at the Pan African Mathematics Olympiad (PAMO) and International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) this year, winning gold medals.
These talented students, Oghenerukevwe Patrick, a student of NTIC; and Jacob had represented Nigeria in the competition, and emerged as the top performers.
Out of the 54 African countries that participated in the event, only eight countries, including Nigeria, secured gold medals. The other countries that achieved this feat are Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.
Mr. Feyzullah Bilgin, the managing director of Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), expressed his sincere congratulations for this outstanding victory to the National Mathematical Centre (NMC) in Nigeria and the outstanding students who won gold medals at this year’s PAMO in Rwanda.
