Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for Home Economics, Hotel Management and Technology, Hospitality and Tourism Management in faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;
- English Language(*), Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics/Physics or one (1) Social Science subject.
- FUNAAB requires Chemistry, Biology and Physics or Mathematics.
- CRUTECH accepts one of Economics, Accounting or Commerce.
- FED-GASHUA accepts Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
- FED-OYE EKITI requires Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture and Mathematics/Physic s or one Social Science subject.
- FED-WUKARI requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Geography/Home Economics/Economics.
UTME/O’level REQUIREMENT FOR HOME ECONOMICS, HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT
Below is the UTME Requirement for Home Economics, Hotel Management and Technology, Hospitality and Tourism Management in faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;
- Five (5) SSC credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics,Physics, English Language and any one of Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical
Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, General Metal Work, Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Ladies Garment Construction and
Finishing.
- OAU accepts Physics, Geography, Home Management, Statistics. Economics, Business Studies, Zoology, Commerce or any of the following pairs Chemistry and Biology., Chemistry and Agriculture and Chemistry and Economics.
- UYO accepts five (5) merit passes in TC II in relevant subjects.
- UMUDIKE :
(a) For Home Economics – Same as in Agriculture.
(b) For Hotel Management and Tourism, it requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any of Physics, Economics and Government. - MAKURDI accepts D7 in English Language.
- ILORIN requires at least ‘O’ Level passes in Physics and Biology.(vi) BELLS as in Food Science and Technology.
- UNIOSUN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in the SSC or its equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings in addition to an acceptable score in the UTME.
- FUNAAB requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
- CRUTECH accepts one (1) Social Science subject – Economics or Accounting/Commerce in place of Food and Nutrition/Home Economics.
- FED-GASHUA requires five (5) SSC Credit passes to include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science and Physics.
- FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) SSC credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics, Physics, English Language and any one of Nutrition, Fine Arts, Textile, Construction, Technical Drawing, Basic Electricity, Basic Catering and Food Services, Bakery and Confectioneries, General Metal Work, Men Garment Construction and Finishing, Spinning, Weaving, Surface Design and Printing, Bleaching, Dyeing and Finishing, Ladies Garment Construction and Finishing.
- FED-WUKARI requires Five (5) Credits passes at not more than two sittings in SSCE/GCE /NECO/NABTEB or (its equivalent) and which must include: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any of the following; Biology/Agriculture, Geography/Economics/ Tourism/Home Economics
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR HOME ECONOMICS, HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT
Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Home Economics, Hotel Management and Technology, Hospitality and Tourism Management in faculty of Agricultural/Vet. Medicine;
You require; Two (2) ‘A’ level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Economics/Physics/Mathematics/Geography/Accounting.
- UYO accepts ND upper credit, HND lower credit and NCE merit in relevant programs/subjects plus the UTME requirements.
- UMUDIKE – As in Agriculture. Also accepts SRN/NRN or NCE with Distinction.
- OAU accepts NCE in Home Economics/Biology/Chemistry/Agricultural Science with five (5) merits/credits in TC II in the following subjects: Social Studies, Mathematics, Agricultural Science, General Studies, Fine Arts, Geography and Rural Science.
- ILORIN requires at least ‘A’ Level pass in Physics, accepts NCE with relevant five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes. Accepts candidates with ‘O’ Level pass in Biology, but who have ‘O’ Level credit passes in Agricultural Science, Food & Nutrition/Home Management.
- FUNAAB accepts ND upper credit or NCE credit in Hospitality and Tourism, Catering Management, Hotel Management, Home Economics from a recognized Institution in addition to the UTME requirements.
- FED-GASHUA requires OND/ND (Upper Credit), HND (Lower credit) in food Science and Technology, Hotel Management and tourism, Home Economics Nutrition, dietetics, Clothing and Textile from a recognized institution in addition to UTME requirements into 200Levels. It also accepts Two (2) ‘A’ level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agric Science/Economics/ Physics/ Mathematics/Geography.
- FED-OYE EKITI requires Two (2) ‘A’ level passes or equivalents in Chemistry and Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Economics/Physics/Mathematics /Geography/Accounting.
- FED-WUKARI – Direct Entry candidates must obtain two A/L passes in GCE IJBM/Advanced NABTEB or at least a Merit pass at NCE Or a Lower Credit at OND, HND Which must include one of the following Tourism Studies, Nutrition and Catering Management, Home Economics, and Geography.
