UNILAG Convocation Fee: University of Lagos (UNILAG) convocation fee and Payment Procedure for the Collection of Convocation Academic Out (Gown, Hood & Cap), Certificate Folder and Convocation Brochure has been released.
This is to inform the public especially graduating students of University of Lagos (UNILAG) that the school management has released the compulsory convocation fee, optional fee and Payment procedure for all graduating students for the collection of Complete Academic Outfit (Gown, Hood & Cap), Certificate Folder and Convocation Brochure.

Mandatory Payment
Payment for ALL graduating students for the Convocation Ceremonies shall be as stated below:
First Degree – #25,000
Masters Degree PGD, M.Phil. – #25,000.00
Doctorate Degree – N25,000.00
Purchase/Hiring
Gown, Hood & Cap shall be obtained at the following costs:
Academic Outfit – Outright Purchase – Hiring
First Degree. – #25,000.00 – N10,000.00
MastersDegree, PGD, M.Phil. – N25,000.00 – N10,000.00
Doctorate Degree #45,000.00 – N/A
Academic outfits will be available at the College of Medicine, School of Postgraduate Studies, Faculties, and the Distance Learning Institute.
Return of Academic Outfit
The deadline for return of all academic outfits shall be Thursday, February 16, 2023, while those who fail to return the outfit by Thursday, February 16, 2023 shall pay a penalty of N5,000.00 on return of the gown.
Collection of Certificates
All graduating students are expected to collect their certificates within three (3) months after Convocation. Failure to collect them will attract a demurrage of N50 per day.
Procedure for Payments
Graduating students are to make all payments by accessing the University website (www.unilag.edu.ng), complete the form under UNILAG payment portal (student category).
Thereafter, graduating students are to proceed to any bank of their choice with the RRR generated, for payment as appropriate. Copies of bank teller and payment advice bearing bank confirmation should be taken to the College of Medicine, School of Postgraduate Studies, Faculties and the Distance Learning Institute as appropriate.

Invitation Cards for Graduating Students
Each graduating student shall register to attend the Convocation Ceremonies. On successful registration, graduating students are to print out the Access Code and present same at the Convocation Venue for admittance to be granted into the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium. Convocation Brochures are to be collected at the various locations earlier mentioned. Graduating students are enjoined to attend the Convocation Ceremonies at the time allotted to them.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS on behalf of the entire University community congratulates all graduating students. Please be assured that certificates would be ready for collection immediately after each ceremony upon the presentation of all necessary clearance.
