UNILORIN Centre For Open And Distance Learning (CODL) Admission form for 2021/2022 Academic Session is Out. Form Cost N20,000.

Applications are hereby invited from interested candidates for admission into the University of Ilorin Centre for Open and Distance Learning Programme, B.Sc. Computer Science.

ABOUT THE CENTRE FOR OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING (CODL)

The Centre was recently given approval to commence academic activities. Consequent on this therefore, the Centre is calling on eligible candidates who wish to study through the Distance Learning mode and gain entry to either the 100 or 200 levels for B.Sc. Computer Science to apply. The Admission is open all year round.

PROGRAMME OFFERED

The programme being offered is the B.Sc. Computer Science.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The duration of the programme for 100 level is four (4) years, and three (3) years for Direct Entry at 200 level.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND MODE OF ENTRY

Note: Irrespective of the mode of entry, candidate are expected to have gone through the JAMB Portal.

UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATIONS (UTME) CANDIDATES

For candidates coming in through the UTME;

1. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 relevant ‘O’ Level Credits (including English and Mathematics); and
2. Applicants must register for the UTME.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

In addition to any of the following, candidates are expected to have a minimum of 5 relevant ‘O’level credits (including English and Mathematics):

1. National Certificate in Education (NCE) in relevant Science courses;
2. IJMB & JUPEB with a minimum of 5 points in relevant subjects;
3. Ordinary National Diploma (OND) with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognised institution; and Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit from a recognised institution.

HOW TO APPLY FOR UNILORIN (CODL)

Every candidate must obtain a JAMB FORM and register under the Distance Learning Centre of the University through the JAMB portal. Thereafter, application should be made for admission processing through the UNILORIN CODL PORTAL with a processing fee of N20,000 Naira only.

PAYMENT MODEL

The payment model for the Distance Learning programme is flexible, as payment can be made in two instalments in a session.

STUDY CONVENIENCE

Flexibility of the mode of study in distance learning is of great importance. Lecture mode is hybrid i.e, through online classes and 3 weeks on site for tutorials and examinations.
