“UNIOSUN is FREE at Last, Glory be to God,” — Staff celebrates exit of Vice Chancellor

Prof Labode Popoola’s exit from the University has been celebrated in a rather unfriendly and unusual manner.

A banner has gone viral indicating that the staff of the University are happy over his exit.

In the banner, the staff described the former VC of the institution as a lier, arrogant, power drunken, corrupt and fetishes person amongst a host of the derogatory attributes

The banner reads as follows :

“With gratitude to God
The entire staff of Osun State University
Staff celebrates the inglorious exit of a mischievous tyrant Vice-Chancellor Prof. Labode Popoola
He will be fondly remembered for by
Lies, mischief, hand hardedness, Arrogance, , divide and rule, power drunkenness, corruption, abuse of office, power into intoxicated, fetishism, sadism, witch-hunting… , nepotism, illegalities, among others.

This is not the first time a thing like this is happening. Early this year, the immediate past VC of Federal University Lokoja Angela Freeman Miri was as well widely celebrated in same manner when she exited the University but in her case it was with an obituary poster boldly printed and staged in front of the school.

Meanwhile, Prof Adefemi Bello a A Professor of Geo-Technical Engineering has been appointed as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution. His appointment took effect from Friday, 5th November, 2021.

Prof. bello is 45 years old and was before his appointment the deputy vice-chancellor in charge of administration and development.
