UNIZIK Postgraduate Minimum General Requirements

Candidates for any Postgraduate programme must possess a minimum of 5 credits including English Language and any four relevant subjects at one or two sittings from WAEC, NECO,NABTEB or TCII (Faculty of Education only) based on the Departmental/Faculty and General University Requirements.

3.1 POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

The following may apply for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma programmes:

  • Graduates from approved Universities who hold first degree classification with FCGPA of 1.51 and above on a 5point scale.

  2. A relevant Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering, Water Resources/Environmental Engineering, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) from a recognized institution.
  3. BSc plus National Water Resources Training Institute Certificate for those without Background in (i) above.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

O/Level (MA, MMS and MSc in Migration Studies)

5 O’ level credits to include English Language, and 4 other subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.

Master’s Degree (Msc and MA in Migration Studies)

The candidate must have a first degree in any relevant discipline with an FCGPA of not less than 3.0 on a 5 point scale from a recognized University

Masters in Migration  Studies (MMS)

  • The Bachelor’s degree requirement for admission into the Master of Migration Studies (MMS) shall be 3.0 FCGPA on a 5 point grading system
  • 2.5 FCGPA on a 5 point grading system or the equivalent in any other grading system plus 5 years post-graduation experience in migration related engagements.

Statement of Motivation

The Candidate shall be required to submit a statement of 350 – 500 words explaining his/her experience/engagement with migration issues/tasks and/or motivation for embarking on the MMS programme.
