JAMB/UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR GEOGRAPHY AND REGIONAL PLANNING

Below is the JAMB/UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION for Geography & Regional Planning in faculty of Social/Management Sciences.

  • English Language(*), Geography and any Arts or Social Sciences subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • OOU – Geography and any two (2)Social Science subjects.
  • DELSU requires Geography, one other Social Science subject and any other subject.
  • BENIN accepts Geography and any other two (2) subjects.
  • CALABAR also accepts any two (2) of Science or Agricultural Science subjects.
  • EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language and any two (2) subjects from Social Sciences or Sciences.
  • LASU also accepts Science subjects.
  • AAUA requires Geography, Mathematics and any other Science or Social Science subjects

UTME REQUIREMENT FOR GEOGRAPHY AND REGIONAL PLANNING

Below is the JAMB/UTME Requirement for Geography & Regional Planning in faculty of Social/Management Sciences

  • Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English language, Mathematics and Geography.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • CALABAR accepts two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Economics, Government, Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • BENIN accepts TC II overall merit.
  • OOU requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Geography and any two (2) Social Science subjects.
  • AAUA requires  five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include  English Language, Mathematics, Geography and two other Social Science or Science subjects.
  • DELSU accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in  SSC or its equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings which must include English Languages, Mathematics, Geography, one Social Science and any of Science or Arts subject.
  • EKSU requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in one of the other two (2) subjects to be a Science or Social Science subject.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR GEOGRAPHY AND REGIONAL PLANNING

Below is the Direct Entry (DE) Requirement for Geography & Regional Planning in faculty of Social/Management Sciences.

  • Two (2) ‘A’ level passes including Geography.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • OOU accepts NCE merit and ND lower credit in Town Planning, Estate Management or related programmes/subjects.
  • UYO accepts ND/ NCE / HND in relevant programmes plus the UTME requirements
  • CALABAR accepts NCE credit level which should include Geography and ND in related programme.
  • BENIN accepts ND upper credit/HND lower credit in Town Planning, Estate Management or Environmental Management and Geographic Information System; NCE overall merit with a credit in Geography. Direct Entry candidates must also satisfy the UTME requirements.
  • AAUA in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements:
    a.  candidates must have must pass  Geography and one other social science or science subject at A/L
    b. ND (Upper Credit) in Town Planning, Surveying, Environmental Management, Estate Management and Urban & Regional Planning.
    c. NCE Geography or Geography related combinationwith minimum of credit pass andother relevant subjects.
  • LASU accepts ‘A’ Level pass in any one of Economics, Government, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
  • DELSU requires
    a) NCE with at least merit passes into two (2) subjects one of which must be Geography and any other Social Science subject.
    b) GCE A ‘Level passes in at least two (2) subjects to include Geography and any other social science subject
