A lecturer of Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, Lagos has told some of his students to do a “pick pin” as a punishment during class.
Needle picking is a punishment commonly performed in many Nigerian secondary schools.
It involves someone bending over as if they are about to pick up a needle, using their fingers, and keeping them in this position for several hours.
