JAMB Result 2020 is Officially Out Online [See How to Check]

UPDATE: Before now, we can help candidates check their result online but JAMB has shut down the portal we were using. Hence, we can’t check any result again. As soon as we get another means of checking the result, we will update this page.

Is JAMB Result 2020 Out

Yes the JAMB 2020 Result has been released online. Please note that the result will take at least 24-48hours before it will be released.

Candidates who participated in the 2020 UTME 1/2 days ago should follow the procedure below to check their result:

How to Check JAMB Result 2020.

IMPORTANT: The steps below will work if you wrote your exam at least 24-48 hours ago.

Check JAMB Result Online.

Update: The result checking portal is not working now. You should use the SMS procedure.

1. Go to jamb result checker portal by CLICKING HERE.
2. Enter JAMB registration Number (eg 97865435AB) or email address in the space provided.
3. Then click on check utme result to view your result result.

Check JAMB Result Via SMS.

To check your result via SMS or text message, send RESULT to 55019. The result will be sent immediately except if you have network issues.

Take Note of the following:

1. Each text message/SMS you send to 55019 will cost N50.
2. Only use the phone number you used in registering for the JAMB, Otherwise you won’t see your result.

BREAKDOWN of JAMB Result 2019

Last year, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB Registrar announced that a 15-year-old boy, Ekele Franklin from Imo State, was overall best in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted between April 11 to April 17.

further breakdown of the 2019 results revealed that:

1. The highest in 2019 utme is from IMO state! He scored 347, but he might not be given admission because he is underage (15 years old). The second highest is 346 (a boy from Abia) while the third is 345 (a boy from Osun)
2. A total of 2,906 candidates scored over 300 while 57,579 candidates scored between 250 and 299.
3. A total of 366,757 candidates also scored between 200 and 249 while 361,718 candidates scored between 180 and 199.
4. A total of 494,484 candidates scored between 160 and 179 while 410,844 candidates scored between 140 and 159
5. Finally, a total of 15,145 results were withheld for further clarification. This means some withheld results might be released.

Ekene Franklin Ezeunala is the highest scoring candidate in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

With a total mark of 347 out of 400, Ekene scored higher than the One million, eight hundred and eighty-six thousand, five hundred and seven (1,886,507) other candidates with whom he registered for the examination.

He did not attend a school that is blessed with a state-of-the-art library, air-conditioned classrooms, heavily equipped science laboratory, lush green playing fields, generally plush ambience, or that is sited in an upscale neighbourhood.He is also not chauffer-driven to and from school with lunch packs laced with assorted beverages and confectionaries.

Like some of his schoolmates, Ekene Franklin Ezeunala treks for 45 minutes to get to school- Meiran Community Senior High School, located in Meiran, one of the backwater communities in the state.

He repeats the exercise on his way back. But all these imperfect conditions and challenges did not stop him from excelling in the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organised by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) where he beat over one million others to emerge the candidate with the best score.
