2019 Admission Statistics.
He revealed that tertiary institutions had the capacity (Quota) to admit 1,123,514 students but only 612,5579 candidates were admitted leaving 510,957 vacancy. Now the big question is “why the vacancies (wide gap) & yet some candidates are still not admitted?”

Why Candidates Should Not Register for both UTME and Direct Entry
- A candidate registered for both UTME and DE
- During scrutiny of admission, JAMB realized that a particular
candidate was jumped and not recommended - On investigation, it was discovered that the candidate had
been offered admission through DE - The candidate was invited to JAMB HQs and confronted with facts
- He accepted the error (by claiming ignorance) and tendered
an unreserved apology - The UTME application was cancelled
Reasons Candidates Were Not Admitted.
One of the main reasons why some candidates were not admitted was because most of them chose few programmes. This is what JAMB referred “over subscription of few Programmes”
JAMB Policy Meeting
Other Causatives of Non-Admission Includes:
- Wrong O’ Level subject combination
- Low (Post UTME) screening score
- UTME-combination deficiency
- Ask Allschool for the correct UTME Subject Combination

- Duplication of application
- Absent from POST UTME Screening

FORGERS AND FRAUDSTERS:
- Cluster of fraudsters who had been benefitting from examination malpractice continue to forge the Registrar’s signature, writing fictitious news items that JAMB website had crashed and all examinations written were cancelled
- Again, they were mistaken. We are grateful to Government especially FME
What JAMB has Decided to do
- Partnering security operatives & relevant agencies on cyber crimes
- Engaging the machineries & sponsoring them in order to tap from their knowledge
- Movement of some services to the registration portal in order to prevent extortion of candidates

Jamb Original result ( the one with passport)
And JAMB Admission letter.

The live broadcast has UST been terminated….let’s see if it will be back!
Meanwhile we have sighted the Ghana’s Education Minister….
The cut mark for this year is yet to be announced. For now, the the Governor of the state hosting the meeting is giving his address….
And…JAMB has reintroduced Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) . This platform is to help candidates ease the stress of knowing requirements for a particular course in a particular school.
With this introduced platform, once you select your aspiring course, you can view their requirements and schools that offer them.
This platform will really help students make the right decision as to the best course that suits that subject combination.
JAMB has inaugrated IBASS. Meaning Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System. This is an online system accessible to candidates and tertiary institutions. Institutions can login to this system to change their requirements on the brochure any time if need be. Candidates can equally log on to the system state their requirements and the system will come up with list of institutions such candidates are qualified to be admitted. This will help candidates to easily know the right institutions they need to apply to or change to if need be.
JAMB Boss has reiterated that one of the main reason some candidates don’t rewrite UTME is because they do insist on a particular course.
If such candidates are given admission into that department, they seem not to be interested…
Still on the meeting!
You know before now you don’t need JAMB to get admission into some school’s programmes?
The latest now is that candidates of distance learning, part-time and sandwich will now go through JAMB.
